Rachel is currently dating Danny, a guy who lives below them. Monica and Chandler are secretly dating during this season, so we see a bit of them with their ridiculous antics, but Monica is not featured in this episode very much.
She gets herself into a bit of trouble of course. However, this episode does have some mentions of Christmas as Phoebe decides to volunteer her time to collect money for the poor.

Halfway through the series and some of the holiday episodes are a little sparse with Christmas cheer. He falls asleep on the train and ends up in Canada!
